I have several friends showcasing at the show with steel quilts, woven garments, paintings, photographs, and more. Should be a hoot.
This past weekend, I scored a few handmade items via silent auction at the One World Adventure Co fundraiser. My friend Dana made the basket and 2 other local people did the photograph I bought as well as the drum (not pictured). The photographer does some amazing photographs of the local canyon and falls. I've been wanting one of his photographs (Lookout Mountain Photography) and I finally procured a beautiful one of Desoto Falls.

In other homemade news, I've been wanting to make lentil soup for Wonder Boy to take in his lunch. I'm ashamed to admit that I've sent him with canned soup for too long now. I googled several recipes and combined my favorite ingredients and spices from each and slow cooked it over night: a bag of lentils, 2 boxes of veggie stock+ water, celery, onion, spinach, turmeric, cumin, and salt. It's really good and kid approved. He's been eating for a week now. I'm about to pull the rest out of the freezer for this week's lunches.

Still working on about 3 more scarves, 2 hats, and several dishcloths.
